iMakr, the world’s largest independent seller of 3D printing solutions, launched a new London showroom in Plexal Center, a co-working space and innovation center in East London, where the company’s new relationship with EnvisionTEC is on full display.
With the addition of the new workspace, iMakr now has 12 stores globally, including two in the Greater New York City area.
During a fun-filled launch event held Tuesday, March 13, Eric Savant, CEO of iMakr, spoke to a group of enthusiastic 3D printing users, from hobbyists with consumer-style machines to universities and manufacturers.
Other VIPs who attended the event included We Liu, COO of iMakr, and Durham Rose, a bespoke Jewellery manufacturer, that spoke about how 3D printing is used in jewelry applications as well as the opportunities for the future.
Alongside a variety of FDM 3D printers and 3D printed Easter eggs, a large EnvisionTEC Ultra 3SP stood out in the crowd. Many people were intrigued by the unique laser-based style of 3SP printing.
“It was great to meet everyone, especially all those who asked us about our unique technologies,” said Ben Johnson, UK & Ireland Sales Channel Manager at EnvisionTEC. “Together with iMakr we’re looking forward to supplying the best 3D printers and materials in the market.”
Wei Liu, COO at iMakr, said, “We’d like to thank EnvisionTEC for coming and supporting our new partnership. It was good to see so much interest in the product range throughout the night. EnvisionTEC’s range of industrial grade 3D printers and materials fits very well into our range of solutions. I am very excited to introduce EnvisionTEC to our customer base from industries as diverse as healthcare and engineering to heavy manufacturing.”
iMakr will offer EnvisionTEC’s range of professional grade 3SP and DLP 3D printing solutions alongside its other 3D printers, scanners, consumables and other offerings.
