John Schrieber

Chief Financial Officer

A Michigan Executive Returns to His Roots —

When John Schrieber joined EnvisionTEC in November 2016 as Chief Financial Officer, it was a chance to join another exciting technology company and return to Michigan, where he grew up in the suburbs as a Detroit sports fan.

A graduate of Northville High School, Schrieber moved to the Las Vegas area after graduation to attend the University of Nevada Las Vegas, where he obtained a bachelor’s degree in business administration followed by an MBA.

But Detroit was never far behind; his first job was for Ford Motor Credit Co.’s regional office in Las Vegas, where he worked through a rotation of roles, in collections, customer service, financial analysis and auditing.

“It was a great foundation,” Schrieber recalled.

Soon afterward, he was recruited to Sprint PCS at the height of the telecom boom, where he worked as a senior financial analyst from 2001 to 2003. It exposed him to the challenges of a fast-growing business and exposed his skill as an expert communicator and calm force among his financial peers.

A series of promotions followed, including a stint as Director of Finance for Career Education Corp. and a Controller position at KMK Partners, a Las Vegas-based private holding company operating throughout the western United States in construction, real estate, restaurants and consumer services.

At KMK, Schrieber immersed himself in a variety of diverse areas, leading the acquisition of three companies, implementing new financial procedures, securing millions in financing and helping the company through a period of rapid growth.

In June 2009, Schrieber joined Bexel Global Broadcast Solutions in Greater Los Angeles as the controller. With revenues in excess of $70 million, provides broadcast production services to companies such as ESPN, CBS and the NFL, and it also manufactures specialty broadcast technologies.

In 2012, he was promoted to Vice President of Finance, the top financial position within the company, where he prided himself on running a finance department that contributed significant value and profits through strategic moves, until he joined EnvisionTEC.

A self-described classic family man, Schrieber said he’s glad to be home in Michigan, close to his Detroit sports teams, where his wife and two daughters can enjoy life in the Midwest.
